I have no interest in Mobley research but offer this information in case it will be helpful to others.
Five years ago I saw a Mobley headstone in an abandoned cemetery in Ben Hill Co., Ga., east of Bowens Mill.
Rebecca M. wife of Alexander Mobley
d. 01/01/1886 age 60
Directions: Turn east off of Hwy. 129 onto Hwy. 182 at Bowens Mill; continue east on 182 past intersection of 182 & 107/319; Cross Sturgeon Creek bridge on 182; turn right on dirt road (it was a dirt road in 1998)about 150 yards past mile post 20; go across bridge on dirt road, turn right onto field road on right at top of hill (there was a hunting club here); go about 300-400 yards on field road. cemetery in woods about 40 yards to right off field road.
Approximate GPS coordinates: N 31 deg. 46' W 83 deg. 03'
There were some McLeod and Bishop graves here also.
