Hello, Lisa,
I am curious about your Richard H. Mobley and Martha White. She is an older sister to Mary Ann White who married Benjamin F. Ellis (my ancestry). I have Martha married to Richard on 11 Feb. 1843 according to the Bible record of White and Treadwell.
What I am wondering or curious about are records in Bell Co. TX. I have a grave marker showing "Twins of Martha Ann Mobley" (no dates on stone) at the Benjamin F. Ellis section of the Cedar Knob Cemetery, Bell Co. TX. Then, I have a Mrs. Martha Mobley marriage to a Benjamin Ellis in 1877, Bell Co. TX.
The 1880 Census, Bell Co. TX, page 26, line 44, 243/258, shows:
Mobley, R. S., 25, head, married, Farmer, GA, GA, GA
Mobley, Martha, 21, wife, married, keeping house, TX, SC, GA
Ellis, M., 55, mother, widow, GA, GA, GA.
Have no other information or connections with relatives who might know who these Bell Co. TX Mobleys are. Could you help? Thank you,
Carol Pendleton
