Thank you for answering. I was wondering if you knew for sure about R. S. Mobley of the 1880 census in Bell Co. TX.
The Ellis, M. was actually the head of the next family 243/259 on line 46, page 26, Bell Co. TX 1880 census:
Ellis, M.-wf-55-mother-widow-GA-GA-GA
Richard, J. C.-wm-26-married-farmer-TX-(blank)
Richard, Susan-wf-19-wife-Keeping house-GA-GA-GA
Richard, Ellen-wf-1-daughter-TX-TX-GA
and a 35 year old person name couldn't read and relation blank -widow-VA-VA-VA
Also, the Bell Co. TX marriage index shows a Susan L. Mobley married John J. (or R.) Richard on June 25, 1877, Book F, page 123.
Do you know if Martha (nee White) Mobley went to her sister Mary Ann (nee White) Ellis in Bell Co. TX after her husband Richard Mobley died? Seems like there is a connection. Will contact you.
