Actually I was typing and the thing posted my message which I hadn't written. So what I had to add was the 1850 census of Bartholomew county, Ind and then John L. Mobley was married to Harriet Stutsman [spelled Stortsman] Oct 28, 1856 in Morgan Co, Ill [not Ind]. This is very interesting because Harriet Stutsman mother was Anna Mobley had married Adam Stutsman.

I'd like to know how John L. Mobley and Anna Mobley were related.

John L. Mobley is on the 1860 census in Bartholomew Co, Ind and they in 1870 Harriet and kids are living with his parents. Did John L. Mobley died? perhaps in the Civil War?

Where did Harriet die? She was alive in 1895 but not on the 1900 census.

Pat
