John Taylor, Sr., of Belmont Co., Ohio

Obtained a land patent in Bartholomew Co., IN

Issue Date: 1/15/1851

NWNW 10/ 8-N 4-E No 2nd PM IN Bartholomew

====================================================
I don't know at this time if there was a connection between him and the other Taylors that lived in Bartholomew. Their roots were in Kentucky, perhaps Henry Co., and the David Taylor in the American Revolution. He was from Augusta Co., Va. He is buried in Woodfill Cem. near Madison in Jefferson Co., IN. His brother Joseph is also there.

An earlier John Taylor mentioned in Bartholomew County married Margaret Carter. He lived around Flat Rock and Clifford. His son, Marcus L. Taylor, later shows up in Martin Co., IN. He was my grandmother's father.

I would appreciate hearing anything anyone has on these folks.

Bobby
