Mobley Family Genealogy Forum
Lynn: I am interested in knowing more about your Ada SUTTON MOBLEY (b. Coldwater, Tate Co., MS., d. Marshall Co., MS.) I guess she would have been born in the late 1850s or early 1860s if her father was killed in 1864 and she was placed in an orphanage. My MOBLEY ancestors were living in Monroe, Lee and Itawamba Cos., MS. (a short distance from Ada's Tate and Marshall Cos., MS.)from about 1840 to 1900. My g-grandfather James Appleton MOBLEY named his seventh child (third daughter) Ada Dosia (b. 1881, Tupelo, Lee Co., MS.). I would be interested in knowing more about your Ada SUTTON MOBLEY to see if there might be a family connection.
