AL, on the 1860 census, a John Mobley lives next door to young William. Chambers Co. is next to Troup Co, Ga. At present it is unconfirmed that this is William SG11

*** In the 1850 Meriwether Co, census, there lives a William Mobley, age 46. In the household was his wife Frances, age 30 and a Nancy Mobley, age 61. William and Sion lived in the same district. Since Sion's oldest son was named William and Sion's daughter was named Nancy, it's reasonable to assume that these two were brothers and that the older Nancy was, in fact, their widowed mother.
