My grandfather was David Henry Mobley, son of Jethro Alexander Mobley and Talullah Henry Mobley. I have traced my Mobley ancestor back to Jethro Mobley (b. 1770 or 1772) in South Carolina.

I have heard that all the Mobleys in South Carolina are descended from Edward Moberly of Maryland and the name was changed to Mobley (Beaver Creek, S.C.)

I can find no record of Jethro Mobley in S.C. and am unable to connect Jethro with these Mobleys. I would appreciate any help you can offer to make this connection.
