Henry Thomas Mobley in Alabama
Posted by: Fred Bradley Date: March 27, 2000 at 18:45:57
  of 2268

I am seeking information on where my great grandfather Henry Thomas Mobley is buried. He moved from Gwinnett Co.,Ga with his wife Matilda Ethridge Mobley and their two children, ca 1882. Oral family history says that he went to Alabama at his mother's (Mary Perry Mobley) request to help on her farm. It is believed that Mary's(Perry)family was living in the area of Sand Mountain, maybe Blount Co., an 1883 Alabama Obit states that "Henry Mobley died recently in Blount County" It is thought that he died of Typhoid Fever. Any help greatly appreciated, Fred.
