Dee--
Do you have any information on Robert's parents or siblings? My g-g-grandfather Alfred MOBLEY married Jemima WHITE in Lauderdale Co., AL., on 4/8/1830. Lauderdale Co., AL., is about 40-miles north of Marion Co., AL. Alfred and Jemima moved to Monroe Co., MS (across the state border from Marion Co., AL.) in the 1840's. I have no reference to your Robert S. MOBLEY but since they were in the same general area around the same time perhaps there could be a connection. Your Robert's parents would have been of the same generation as my Alfred.
