Hi. My name is Cindy P. Landry and my mother was Bernice Inez Mobley Powell. Your grandfather, Arthur Dewey Mobley, Jr., was her brother.
I am very happy to have found another Mobley cousin through this forum. I have been in contact with your Aunt Lynn Eaton via e-mail as well.
I have been researching the Mobley's this past year or so. The problem is and always has been that I never knew very much about my mom's family, especially since we lived in New Orleans, LA. We just never visited Savannah very much. Therefore, I never knew anyone to ask about genealogy regarding the Mobley's. By the time that I realized how interested I was in genealogy, many of mom's relatives, of whom I could ask questions to had died. When I researched Bonaventure Cemetery, I found out that Lindy was the most recent death, in 1990, I believe. I requested a copy of his death certificate from the State of Georgia DHHR and saw that his daughter, Susan Waters, was the informant. I took a chance, mailed her a letter and she responded! Susan has given me alot of information regarding relatives in Savannah. The only two siblings still alive are Gene and Roy. Neither one are capable of giving me any information - I wrote a letter to Roy at the Georgia War Veterans Home but never received a response.
So, if you have any additional information, I would appreciate it if you would share with me. I will be happy to do the same. I seem to have hit a brick wall with George Washington Mobley's parents. I obtained a copy of his death certificate from State of GA and his mother's maiden name was not very clear. His father's name was also George also and he was from Raleigh, NC.

Hope to hear from you soon.
