My husband has Mordecai Mobley in his line (5th great grandfather). The information I have was received from numerous other researchers in our family:

Mordecai Mobley b ca 1714, in Prince George County MD and died 1792 in Wake Co NC. Maried Dorcus Read, daughter of Harmon Read and Mary Pendry. Dorcus was born 1738 in NC and died Feb 22, 1808 in Neuse NC.

Mordecai father was John Mobberly II (b 2 Mar 1687 in South River, All Hallows Parishg, Ann Arundel Co MD, and died 1753 in Edgecombe Co NC. He married Rachel Pindel b Feb 12, 1711/12 in Queen Ann Parish, Prince George Co MD.

John Mobberly II's father was John Mobberly I, b about 1622 in England or Maryland, and died about 1728 in Prince George Co MD. He married Ann Griffin about 1688 in All Hallows Parish, Anne Arundel Co MD. She died 1749 in Lunenberg Co VA. He married his second wife, Elizabeth Robertson 1708 in Prince Goerge Co Md. He married his third wife Susana Scraggs Feb 28, 1715/16 in Queen Ann Parish, Prince Geroge Co MD.

John Mobberly's father was Edward Mobberly born about 1953 and died May 7, 1633 in Cheshire England.

Edward Mobberly's father was Wiliam Mobberly born about 1565.

Do you have any information on Dorcas Read, Mordacai's wife. All I have is that her father was Hrmon Read and mother was Mary Pendry
