Thanks, Carl, for the good information. Had been unable to locate the Mobleys in Elbert County. I believe this was a second marriage for John Johnston, as I found a marriage record today as follows: John Johnston married Nancy Powell 1-20-1820, Elbert County Will Book L 1816-1824 -- Mixed Records. John Johnston moved to Jasper County about 1824, as best I can tell. Randy
