Man after Newt Mobley—Santo Domingo1910?

Years ago a stranger called inquiring about a mysterious ancestor of his who came from America to the Caribbean. This was the time of the Contract with America, and I seem to recall that this mystery Mobley had the same name as Newt Gingrich. I could be completely misremembering, but now that I have my father's files in front of me, I see a half brother of my great great grandfather named Newton Hershel who died in Santo Domingo in 1910. Could this be the one that man was looking for? I don't know, but if by some miracle he sees this post, I would love to hear from him...And anyone else who might know more about this enigmatic Mobley.
