Marabelle.....I am a descendant of David Palmer, brother of Rachel Palmer who married John Modlin 11 Mar 1824 in Wayne Co, IN. I have somewhat different info about this line than you do as follows:My records indicate that John Modlin was the son of Benjamin Modlin and Leah (unknown). My list of their children include:William who married Margaret McKimmey, David who married Celia Kendall, Nathan who married Electra Ridgeway, Johathan Palmer who married Mary Ann Campebll, Anna who married Joel R. McKimmey, and Levi, spouse unknown.I obtained this info from a descendant of one of the McKimmey relatives. You may also be interested to know that members of this Modlin family owned land in Harrison Township of Henry Co. IN in the mid 1800's They were close neighbors to the Palmers and other relatives of the Palmers.Rachel had 8 sisters and 1 brother.Rachel was born in Stokes Co, NC8 Jan 1804.Her parents, brother and most of her sisters moved to Wayne Co and then Henry Co. IN abound 1815.Her sisters married Pearsons, Ratliffs, a Beeson, a Bogue, a Powell and a Draper. Although John and Anna apparently were not Quakers, all of their children married Quakers and therefore you can find info about these families in the Indiana Quaker records by Heiss who most libraries with genealogy collections have....Monica Palmer Dean
