Moffats and Milnes of Newbattle, SCOTLAND

My great grandmother was called Jeanie Milne Sharpe, born 1891 in Larkhall, Lanarkshire.

Her parents were James Sharpe and Jean/Jeanie/Jane Moffat.

I looked up a marriage of a Jane Moffat to see if I could find her marriage to James, and, although I didn't, I did find one which struck me to probably be Jane.

In 1896 in Newbattle, Midlothian, a Jane Moffat married a William Archibald. Her parents were James Moffat (b. c1841) and Jessie Milne (b. c1845).

My grandmother (Jeanie's daughter) always said there was a Jessie in the ancestry and Jeanie's middle name was Milne so I'm wondering if she married again and James died or they divorced.

I would be grateful for any help whatsoever :)
