The Bible was probably brought to MS in the mid 1800's by Ann Moffat who had married J.H. Davi(d)son. They had a daughter named Sarah Lucinda Davi(d)son who married Absalom Farrar Winfrey.Elizabeth, John Gilbert and Elias were Sarah Lucinda's siblings.Ann was the daughter of John Moffat who was the Capt. John Moffat of King's Mountain (Rev. War) and who eventually died and was buried in the Old Presbyterian Churchyard in Atlanta.By the way - the date for Ann's birth in my previous posting is wrong. She was born in 1778. she was older than her husband. The above are buried in Poplar Creek Cemetery in Montgomery County, MS.The Bible dates from the second half of the 1700's and was printed in Scotland.
