I am looking for information on the TAYLOR and MOFFITT families involved in the deed summarized below:

Killingly, Windham Co., CT, Deeds - Liber 18, p. 201
Lydia and James TAYLOR of Edmeston, Otsego Co., NY, sold to Brayton GARDNER of Killingly, for $5 "the equal part or share of the third or dower out of the real estate of our father [Mr.?] John MOFFITT, late of Killingly, deceased, which was set out to our mother Saray MOFFITT as her dower in said deceased real estate." The deed was signed on 23 Jun 1810, witnessed by Royal ROSE and George POTTER, and recorded on 25 Nov 1811.
