Looking for a Barney Moffat. In 1860, he was in the IN census at 16 to 17 yrs of age but not with a Moffat family. He was born in Ireland. By 1870 census, he was in Macoupin County, IL married to Sarah Reddish. By 1880, Sarah Reddish had died and he had remarried. Information from another individual indicates he had remarried and he and his new wife with some of her children from a first marriage moved to TX. My GGrandfather, Henry "Moffet" later spelled "Moffit"- his son, was listed in the Jersey County, IL 1880 census as a Boarder (4 years old). There were two other Moffet children listed in the census in other households as foster children. Ollie, I'm sure was Henry's sister, but I'm not sure were George comes in. He was found in AR census later last in 1920, but no death record has been found.
If anyone has additional information or is related, I would like to make a connection.
