Harold A. Moffat Sept 24, 1915 - March 31, 2009 Harold left us peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2009. He will be missed by Helen, his wife of 70 years, and thier three children, Ted (Gloria) Moffat, Marilyn (Jack) Blair and Valerie (Bill) Kilbey. He leaves 7 special grandchildren, Trent (Tammera), Allison (John), Glen (Jenia), Gary (Christina), Dan (Laurie), Kelly (Andrew), and Kyra (Jon) as well as 9 great grandchildren, who were dear to his heart, Addison, Sophie, Ryder, Brynn, Taylor, Olivia, Finnegan, Clara and Sam. He is survived by three brothers Donn, John (Gladys) Cork/Gilbert and two sisters, Betty (Jim) McQuarrie and Joyce Moffat. A Service to Celebrate his Life will be held on Wednesday, April 8th at 1:30 pm at Knox United Church, 1448 5th Ave with Reverend David Wood officiating. Assman's Funeral Chapel will assist with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Moffat Education Fund which will be administered by the Prince George Community Foundation, PO Box 1204 Stn A, Prince George, BC, V2L 4V3. These funds will be directed to support educational endeavours at CNC and UNBC. This fund is being created to recognize Harold's contribution to promoting education in Prince George with 25 years service on local school board and his endeavours in founding CNC. We thank the staff at Simon Fraser Lodge for their continuous nursing care of our dad during the past several months and Rotary Hospice House for their compassionate care during his brief stay.
