I am so sorry to be so late responding to your post, but I just came across it today.

First, I should point out that every Mofield I have been able to identify can be traced back to the Morefield/Moorefield family.

At this point, it appears *possible* that William P. Mofield and Perry Mofield were the same person. There were very few Mofield/Morefield/Moorefields in AR in that time period, and if they were not the same person, there's no explanation for how William P. suddenly appeared at the age of 39 in 1900. Based on the Jackson, AR census records for Mofield households in 1860, 1880 and 1900 (I haven't found them in 1870), I *speculate* that William Perry Mofield was born to W. and Sarah Mofield about 1860/1862, and that he married Maudia shortly after the 1880 census was taken. It seems likely, but by no means certain, that he was the William Mofield in Lawrence Co, AR in 1910 and that he was the William who married your Carrie and who was living in Lawrence Co. in 1930 (I haven't found him in 1920).

I have filled in some blanks. The W. Mofield and Sarah Mofield in the 1860 Jackson, AR census were probably the Wm. Mafield and Sarah Wright who married in Jackson Co. 7 apr 1853. The William P. and Maudia Mofield in the 1900 Jackson Co. census had a daughter Norah Reeves, age 18, widow and a son Joe b. March 1890. Nora apparently married a Eugene Allen and died 15 feb 1951 in Jackson Co. Joe married Gertrude Floyd, daughter of William P. and Eva Floyd. Gertie Mofield d. 27 dec 1919 and J.C. Mofield b. 30 mar 1888 died 25 oct 1919. They had 3 children, Charles, Eva and Hazel, who were taken in by the Floyd family. Charles and Eva were living with William and Eva Floyd in 1920 and 1930, and Hazel was living with Frank Floyd and listed as niece.
