The MOGRIDGE family we are researching came to United States about 1820 from London area.
Charles MOGRIDGE and his wife Mary ____ had
several children christened in St Andrew Parish, Holborn England and the younger ones
born about 1802-1810 were christened at Spa
Fields Lady Huntington Parish, Clerkenwell.
The children who came to America with parents
were Matthias, George and Louisa. This family
settled in Wayne Co PA and lived in no other
location in US. Charles had brothers Samuel who also came to America and George who was an author in England and used penname of
"Old Humphrey." The three brothers were sons
of Charles MOGRIDGE born 1733.
