MUGRIDGE/MOGRIDGE Elizabeth (c.1806 UK) and EASTLEY, William (1805 Diptford, UK)

I have a considerable amount of information regarding my ggGrandfather, William EASTLEY. I am now trying to trace my ggGrandmother, Elizabeth MUGRIDGE/MOGRIDGE but as yet have only hit brick walls. William and Elizabeth were married in Diptford, England on September 5, 1830 and they had 3 daughters.

During the course of their lives together, William and Elizabeth mostly lived in North Huish. I have received baptismal records for most of the children and am still searching for more information on them.

William was tried and convicted of sheep stealing and transported to Tasmania. When Elizabeth and their 3 daughters joined William in 1852, Elizabeth also had 2 sons. I can find very little information on these two boys. I have found the baptism of one and he is registered as son of Elizabeth EASTLEY. It IS possible that this is in fact the daughter Elizabeth, not the mother.

I need to find the boys in the 1851 census, however, it is speculated that they were living with Elizabeth's family. I don't have any information on Elizabeth other than what's above, so I can't go any further.

If anyone has any information regarding Elizabeth MUGRIDGE/MOGRIDGE I would be very grateful for any help! :D

Robyn Leeds.
