Paulus Mohn/Monen -Palatine to NY,1710

For all the Moons trying to trace your New York Moons ancestry:if you're not descendents of Robert and Dorothy Moon of England, you're probably a descendent of Paulus Mohn/Monen of Palatinate who immigrated in 1710 to Columbia Co.,N.Y.-along with another 10 shiploads of Palatines brought there by the British. It took me awhile to track this down.Paulus Moon had 1 son-Johannes-who married Catharina Scheffer in 1739.Johannes had 7 sons and one daughter. They were:1.Jacob(b.1739),2.Johannes,who married Elizabeth Stahl,3.David,who married Catharina Muller/Mueller,4.Willem/Wilhelm,5.Paulus(b.1755) who married Critje/Margaretha Morvin,6.Pieter/Petrus(b. 1750)who married Magdalena/Lena Jacobi,7.Anna Maria Moon.I believe the other son (8.)was Richard. These Mohns/Moons multiplied rapidly. There is much information on them online through Lutheran and Dutch Reformed Church Records at the Latter Day Saints Family Search website-www.familysearch.org.Hope this helps someone!
