Dear Brenda & other Mohn Searchers:
I've just decided that our John Moon, sought for several years as Moon must descend from these Mohns! John Moon b Jefferson Co KY m#1 18 Aug 1824, Clark Co. IN to Catherine Ditzler b ca 1800, KY pr. Jefferson Co, and #2, also Clark Co 23 Feb 1829 to Nancy Hendson of NC. He was b 1792-1798, KY, (census & tombstone disagree) bur Moon Cem, Mt. Pleasant, Scott IN. Our ancestor, Margaret, d/o John & Catherine was b 1 Jan 1828, m 26 Nov 1846 to Isaac Blount/Blunt.
Catherine Ditzler is d/o Peter Ditzler b 1752, Rehresburg, Berks, PA, resided also Lancaster, s/o Melchior Ditzler of Solothune, Switzerland.
John Moon is probably s/o John Moon & Mary of Jefferson Co. KY supposesdly of Cumru, Berks, PA, in Jefferson Co. 1820 census.
Having learned the PA- Mohn connection, found the immigration in Rupp, and many plausable connections last nite while volunteering at the Fiske Genealogical Library in Seattle, then home, and up half the night reading the Mohn GenForum pages, and your home page, Brenda. Can you fit these John Moons into your Mohn collection? Thanks SO much for any help! Carolyn Fix Blount, Seattle,
