John G. Mohn

John G. Mohn (aka John G. Mohn, Jr.) was born in Northampton County, PA on August 16, 1800. He, his wife (Mary Catherine Hartzell Mohn), and two children (Aurelia Cecelia Mohn and Reuben T. Mohn) traveled from Northampton County, PA to settle in Gnadenhutten, OH about 1830. I suspect that John G. Mohn was brother to Henry Mohn (my 3G grandfather), born in October 4, 1803 in Plainfield Township, Northampton County, PA, but I cannot yet confirm this. However, it has been separately documented that John G. Mohn's father and Henry Mohn's father had immigrated from Germany to America. Again, I suspect that they were all of the same immediate family and that John G. Mohn, Sr. was father of both John G. Mohn, Jr. and Henry Mohn. I am interested in hearing from anyone who may have more information on John G. Mohn, Sr., his family, and the circumstances concerning his immigration and new life in America. Thanks.
