Shari, when I went back and compared this info with Georg and Ruth Anna's children, there were some duplications. Johan/Johannas birth date 1 month different (April 8 vs. March 5, 1791), and David (b. March 31, 1802). From what I have learned in the past couple of months, the John and George you refer to in Northumberland Co. are from Ludwig's line. At least the John is (I think). I don't have a Georg in Northumberland in my files, although I do have some early Census info of a George in that area in the early 1800's. Personally, I am still not 100% on the Vernor > Georg/Ruth Anna connection until I have a birth or marriage record of somekind, but this raises more questions than answers (I guess that is the natural track for a genealogical investigation). I go back to the handwritten list of children of Georg and SARAH Moon that I found in the box of old photos. It had listed Ruth Anna as a "possible cousin". I know this flies in the face of the New Jerusalem christening records of Johannas and Jacob, sons of Georg and RUTH ANNA, and all other info for that matter from about 1791 on, but I don't know how to invalidate it.

I know that there are several researchers who are tracing the lines of the brothers Vernor/Wernor and Conan Ludwig MOHN, immigrants from Germany on the ship "Elizabeth" (arrived in Phil. in 1733). It seems that everybody has a gap or some confusion in their info between 1764 (death and date of will of Johannas MOHN, father) and abt. 1791 regarding the children and grandchildren of Johannas' line. How can we muster our resources and resolve once and for all that; 1) we have the right family for ol'Georg (there was another German MOHN family to arrive a couple years later), and 2) we can make a good arguement for and ultimately a solid lineage of all of the MOHNs from Germany, including the Johannas, Abrahams, and Daniels and of course, Georgs. Any suggestions?????

Is there enough info out there in our MOHN GenForum page and the MOON page to collect our resources somewhere, and let everybody interested have a overall look. Maybe elaborate on the outline that Mike Moon started back in January on this forum titled "More on Abraham Moon and our search!". John Knisely started the ball rolling with "One Correction & Two Additions". Why don't we revisit that (see also in the MOON Genforum page "In Search of the Parents of Abraham Moon") and continue a dialogue there. We would have to incorporate the info on Ludwig's line from Brenda Creasy and any others. I would be glad to be a clearing house for names and e-mail addresses unless somebody doesn't want that to be public info, but I think we can do better if we all stayed public on this page or maybe the MOON-L@rootsweb.com site, which is getting no action of late.

Well, there's my 2cents (plus about a dollar). I'm open for any suggestions. My head is beginning to hurt wacking it against this door (not wall, I think we are too close to be deadlocked). Somebody has the key and may not even know it. I guess this turned into a "calling all Mohnies"!!!!

Ok, I'll shut up.
