I know of only one other Mohnkern that I have been unable to connect to my line. His name is Conrad Mohnkern, possibly John Conrad Mohnkern and he married Elizabeth Graham in Venango Co. This may be of interest to you because, according to the 1860 census, he was born in 1807. Is it possible that Maria Catherine's son eventually went by the name Mohnkern? The researcher who contacted me has been unable to find parents for John Conrad. Here is census information for Rockland Twp.:

Census (all Rockland Twp)
Conrad Mohnkern 35, Betsy 30, Penelope 9, James 7, Sarah 5, Daniel 3
Conrad Mohnkern 53, Elizabeth 41, Penelope 18, James 16, Sarah 14, Daniel 12,
William 8, Aaron 3

As you can see the age of Conrad in 1850 contradicts that of 1850. Conrad does not appear in the family in the 1870 census so he must have died by then.

I am sure that these all of these Mohnkerns in Venango Co. are connected somehow. Perhaps Maria Catherine is an older sister or an aunt to my Henry Mohnkern. She must have migrated prior to Henry.
