No we dont know his parents. Ours was in Hunt Co in 1870 marrying Martha Ellen Traylor. All but one census with him and her on it show he was born in 1850, one does show 1852. Who are the parents to your James M?

We have never been able to determine where he was born, some census show TX, Ark and MO. The traylors did come from Arkansas, but we have been unable to link them. Our theory has always been they must have met in Ark and come to TX together as families. Her family was Barton Aiken Traylor and Mary Ann Chew.

Any names ring a bell?
