Relatives in Poland looking in America for traces or descendants of
Franz Molendowicz who may possibly have changed his name to Molendo, Molenda, Molendovich, Molen, Molendowski or other. Franz was from Mszana Dolna, Poland, then called Galicia in the Austro Hungarian Empire. He arrived at the Port of New York Ellis Island, Sept 12, 1912. He arrived on the ship, “President Grant" which sailed Aug 30th 1912, from Hamburg, Germany
He was noted as single, a shoemaker, 5’6” blond, age 26, born in 1885 or 1886,
he could read and write, his race was Polish, nationality listed as Austrian.
Previous Residence Mszana Dolna, Poland, then the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
His Mother's name was Cecylia (?….not sure of spelling….looks like Cecylia or Pecylia) Molendowicz. Her residence was Mszana Dolna, Austria / Poland (also known as Galicia, in the Austro-Hungarian Empire)
Franz destination was noted as going to: Stefan Pudalak (Podolak?)
Box 53 Orchard Park, New York, which appears to be near Buffalo NY. We are not sure if he stayed in the US or may have gone on to Canada eventually.
