Almeida Moniz from Azores

Hi there cousins. My name´s Wilson and I´m from Brazil and looking for information on my family. I´ve learned from my research that my great-grandfather ANTONIO d´ALMEIDA MONIZ, born in 1870, by the age of 25, was on board of the SS Braunfels, a steamship that sailed from Ponta Delgada, Azores to Honolulu, HI, arriving the destination on April 4, 1895. What intrigues me is that the 25 year old went to Hawaii with his family, my great-grandmother ANNA DO REGO and a daughter three months old, the time of arrival. MARIA was her name. They stayed there for some years and my g-grandma gave birth to another child, a boy named MANOEL and my great-grandfather passed away on March 27, 1906. He was buried in a place named LOCKVIEW CEMETERY. I know that his burial doesn´t exist anymore. But I would like to know the cause of death. He was just 37, I guess. When buried they´ve changed his name to ANTONE ALAMEDA MONAGE, which is probably the spelling for current english. Could anybody help me to find my family ? Where exactly in São Miguel my great-grandfather comes from? After his death my great-grandmother came to Brazil but we have no documents from her or her ancestors. Help me please to find my family. Thank you all very very much. Sincerely, Wilson.
