Moniz, Cabral, Paiva, de Rego Baldaia, Azores to Mass.

I'm searching with no luck as of yet for my Portugese
family lines. Here is what I have:

Daniel Moniz Sr. married Maria Isabel Cabral.
{both from the Azores.}
Their son Daniel Moniz Jr. is my grandfather.
He married Palmeda Baldaia, daughter of:
Frank de Rego Baldaia and Virginia Paiva.
{both from the Azores.}

Daniel Sr. was a farmer who owned quite a bit of
land in Somerset, MA. He married 4 or 5 times after
Maria Isabel's death approx. 1922. I have not been
able to find him on the ellis island ship lists and
it is possible he came here another way.

I have a little info on Maria's arrival but have
not been able to pin it down yet, Maria
being a common name. She was the daughter of
Joaquim Francisco Cabral {deceased in the Azores}
and Maria de Jesus {came over as a widow with 8
children, 7 girls 1 boy.}

Frank de Rego Baldaia was from the only true
line of this family in the Azores. I have his
naturalization paper but nothing as to the ship
he arrived on. His parents were Jessey D. R. Baldaia
and Mary D. Rego.

Virginia Paiva came over on the Adriatic in 1924
at age 12 from what I've found. I have her naturalization
paper. She was from Ponta Garca, St. Michael's {Sao Miguel}
Her parents were John Paiva and Mary da Conceicao.

If you have information on any of these family lines
please share and I will share everything I have
with you as well.

Thank you,
Penni
