My grandma was Elmina Moniz who married Joao Rapoza Pimentel. They had 17 children. Elmina came with her parents Manuel moniz and Mary (Pereira). They came to Hawaii on the Kumeric. She had brothers Chris, Jose, Antonio, Carlos and sister Nathalia. They were from Funchal, Portugal. Does this tie in? Lots of their children moved to California mostly around Oakland.
