Hello again Christina,
I wanted to comment that there does seem to be a hint about a Sephardic Jewish line in the family even though I never heard anyone mention it. All I ever heard was that the line ended up in Baja because it was a stopping off point for those that had land grants for up North from the King of Spain. I guess some chose to stay in San Jose del Cabo until there was another great migration to Mexicali and Calexico. The possible Sephardic line is something I've been looking into. I'm still looking for the Montejano line beyond Eugenio and the Lucero line beyond Melitona's grandmother who was Maria. No father listed. That line may have been in New Mexico where the bulk of the Lucero line is. The Lucero's stem from Lucero-Godoy.
