Moodie's / Mooty's? of Ontario, CAN - mid to late 1800's

From the Brandt Co., Ontario, Canada Marriage records and from the LDS site (Family Search) comes the following bits of information that may be helpful to those researching the MOOTY surname (have been Ydna tested and are shown to be of HaploType - "I2"-eye-two).
Marriage records from year 1871~
John MOODIE age 29, yeoman Ontario, Burford son of Thomas MOODIE and Ann DRIVER married Maria Jane HARRIS age 21 of So. Quebec, Burford, daug. of Henry W. HARRIS and Mary MONETTE. Marriage date - Jan. 11, 1871 at Paris, Brantford Co., Ontario, CAN.
Witnesses to their marriage Theodore Barwell and Elizabeth HESS both of Burford.

From same county but year 1875~
Edward MOODIE age 28, farmer, Prescott, Hibbert township, Brantford Co., Ontario, son of Thomas MOODIE and Ann _____, married Carrie Victoria WHITE age 35 of Nova Scotia now Brantford township daug of David WHITE and _____ RAND (her mother's first name was Love). They married on Feb. 2, 1875 in Brantford, witnesses were John WHITE and Ruth LOVETT.

Thomas and Ann Driver MOODIE were said to have married in or around Co. Carlow, Ireland so in researching this I found the following records -
Henry MOODIE b. Jan. 19, 1835 in Carlow, Ireland d. Feb. 1, 1929 at age 94 yrs 17 days in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, widow, son of Thomas MOODIE and Ann DRIVER.

Another entry gave the following info -
John MOODIE died July 21, 1903 at age 62, (birth year only given as 1841) in Ireland, farmer, married, died at Emmett, St. Clair Co., Michigan, USA, son of Thomas MOODIE and Ann DRIVER.
In some later records of Thomas and Ann's children, I noticed the last name seems to change from Moodie/Moody to the spelling of MOOTY which could be an indication that this line of MOODIE's were originally from the ancient clan of "Auchmutie's / Auchmuty's" of Scotland.
Hope this is helpful to those researching these families and that this is not all repeat info. and that I didn't make too may typo's.
