Please see my posting from 2008 for a few more details about the Matthew MOODY who m. "Mary" (poss. nee ARCHIBALD...poss. daug. of or sister of a Robert Archibald mentioned in Matthew MOODY's will of 1860).
See Msg. # 9708.

Also thanks to Debbie for the following info which confirms that the Rev. Joseph Archibald MOODY was indeed a son of Matthew Moody...
the Marriage of Matthew's daughter Elizabeth MOODY to John ROSS on Aug. 26, 1862 at the Ballyreagh Church in Coleraine, Co. L'derry, Nor. Ireland. It states that they were married by the Rev's John HART and Rev. Joseph Archibald MOODY, brother of the bride (citing LDS films...thanks Deb).
Also from Debbie she has that Mary MOODY (again daug. of the above Matthew MOODY) b.c1830 of Macosquin, Co. L'derry married James GALLOWAY on Dec. 3, 1850 and they had a daughter named Adeline Anna Clarissa GALLOWAY b. Sept. 20, 1867 in Ballymacarret, Co. Down, Nor. Ireland.
Just to refresh...In Rev. Joseph Archibald MOODY's will dated Jan. 8, 1898 he names his sister "Mary's" children as follows: Mary, Maggie, Hessie, Joseph, Emily and ADA (Adeline above no doubt) GALLOWAY.
Rev. Joseph A. Moody also names a Joseph GALLOWAY as one of his Executors to his estate...poss. Mary's husband even though Debbie has above that Mary's husband's first name was "James"...this might be a typo or Joseph was a relative of her husband's etc.
Anyway, there is no doubt that this shows a link between these families.
Agaiin, if anyone out there can add more to this family branch I would be most greatful.
