Just as another possible link to this Matthew MOODY b.c1795 of Cullyvenny, Nor. Ireland...see message I posted here in 2008 #9749 in which I ask the question about the Thomas MOODIE and wife Jean McKENZIE who came to "the Carolina's" and whose son James MOODIE was bapt. in 1746 Nor. Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland as Possibly being my own 5th grt. grandfather who would have been born around this exact time and my James married a Scottish woman named Elizabeth DONALD (Donnell) to boot.
Thomas (again, here's the name of "Thomas") MOODIE had some link to a Robert HOGG back in Scotland who I believe was a merchant. If there was a family tie to this HOGG line between Thomas MOODIE and these lines happen to tie into the MOODY/Hogg's of Ballymoney/Balnamore, Co. Antrim, Nor. Ireland, then again, we ~MIGHT~ have another link here.
This Thomas MOODIE's family came to the "Carolina's" in the latter 1700's and one of Thomas' daughter's married into the HOUSTOUN (spelled that way) family and removed to the Savannah, GA area.
IF these "Houstoun's" by any chance link back anciently or distantly to our McQuiston's/Clan Uisdean/Clan Donald etc., then again we might have yet another distant link between our MOODY/McQuiston/McCuiston family of Guilford Co., NC.
Just speculations on my part at this time, but it would be great to find that all of these family tree's were parts of the same branches.

My exact Ydna matching MOODY family of Nova Scotia also links back to a James MOODY b.c1755 of New Jersey (No not the Lt. James Moody who Gen./Pres. Geo. Washington despised) who m. a Sarah BAKER and they had a grandson named Thomas MOODY too. So the name of "Thomas" seems to follow our Ydna branches no matter what.
Just wanted to add this bit more, as I find it interesting to say the least. Would love to some day be able to prove it all.
