I don't think I have posted this before but if I have pardon my repetition.
In going over my records from the MOODY branches of Nova Scotia I found the following info.
James MOODY b.c1859 was married to Lavinia BISHOP on Nov. 24, 1879 at Cambridge Baptist Church.
His residence at the time was Harborville, Kings Co., NS and she lived in Canaan, NS.
Witnesses to their marriage was Mary E. MURRAY and E. J. HUME. They were married by a Rev. James or Joseph MURRAY, so the witness Mary E. Murray is probably his wife. Unfortunately in this marriage record his Parents, his age and his occupation are not listed. This is all the info given for the couple.

Then in 1886 Kings Co., NS the following Marriage info was found~
James MOODY age 27 - WIDOWER - of Grafton, Kings Co., NS born at Harborville, Kings Co., NS - farmer - son of Robert and Margaret MOODY (I happen to know she was nee McNUTT and that Robert was a son of Israel MOODY and Elizabeth CASKEY, and Israel per his death record in Kings Co., NS was a son of Alexander MOODY and Priscilla (nee DICK) of Lenamore/Magilligan, Co. L'derry, No. Ireland).
So, this James MOODY at age 27 was already a widower, which leads me to believe due to lack of other records for the above couple, that Lavinia BISHOP must have died sometime between 1879 and 1886 and this James Moody is the same one. This 2nd marriage took place on Jan. 27, 1886 at Billerton (again a Baptist church) - and he married Amelia SCHURMAN age 20 spinster of Grafton born in Oxford, Nova Scotia daug. of Elijah and Elizabeth SCHURMAN. (I have seen this last name spelled every which way you can imagine...Shurman, Sherman etc. etc) - Witnesses: R. E. ROCKWELL and Bella P. ROCKWELL.
James and Amelia had a son named Harry Earl MOODY who m. Mable Lillian PINEO. Witnesses to their marriage were Mrs. Stanley A. HALE and Amelia MOODY. (Mrs. Stanley HALE was nee MOODY...Jennie Myrtle daug. of James & Amelia). This couple was also of Grafton, Kings Co., Nova Scotia and Baptist.
NOTE - Amelia Schurman's full name as shown on other documentation I have regarding her children's births and marriages was "Phoebe Amelia Schurman".

James MOODY's full name was James Edward MOODY and it is noted that he was born in July 1856 in Kings Co., Nova Scotia. His children with Phoebe Amelia Schurman were as follows that I know of:
Mary Lillian; Laura Vale; George Owen (who removed to Saskatchewan); Jennie Myrtle, James Lawrence; Harry Earl; and Clayton Reid MOODY.
All of these MOODY's are related to us via Proven Genetic testing (Ydna proof).

I also found the marriage of another couple - BISHOP and SCHURMAN which could also indicate a link between all of these family's.
Also another link found between these same families was the marriage link between a DAVISON/Davidson? and Martha McNUTT. [Was she related to Margaret McNUTT who married our Robert MOODY?]

Another record I have is that of John MOODY b. Nov. 1863 Harborville, Kings Co., NS. At the time of his death he was single age 79 a horse trainer of race horses, Irish descent and he died on March 2, 1943 of bronchial pneumonia due to some post operative to his gastro system (it looks like, hard to read) but he also had stomach ulcers and chronic myocharditis.
He was a son of James MOODY and Love PERRY and his sister Nancy A. (nee MOODY) GOULD was the informant of his death.
James MOODY m. Love PERRY on July 12, 1863 at Cornwallis, Kings Co., NS. He was listed as a farmer and born in Harborville.

Hope this further info is helpful.
