Here is some more info on the Wakefield, Parsonsfield connection to James Moody and his presumed son Daniel K. Moody

In 1774 a James Moody is on the Epping Tax List.
In 1782 James Moody received a tax abatement in Epping, "he being absent"

Unable to find James Moody on 1790 tax list; possibly living in another's household?

November 22, 1792 JAMES MOODY marries ELIZABETH QUIMBY, both of Wakefield in Wakefield, NH. (This would be his second wife). Daniel K. names a daughter ELIZABETH QUIMBY Moody and a son JAMES Chase Moody.

James had a son named Abner, born about 1804 who went to Parsonsfield, ME. This would be Elizabeth Quimby's child. This is verified by Parsonsfield VR which shows 60 yr old farmer Abner Moody, b. Ossipee, NH, parents James and Elizabeth Moody, b. born Brentwood, NH, d. oct 7 1864 in Parsonsfield of consumption.

From the Ossipee Poll Tax list of 1802 there are:
Abner MOODY
JAMES MOODY
Edward Moody
Jonathan Moody
Samuel Moody
Clement Moody
Gordon Moody
Jonathan Moody, Jr
Samuel Moody was elected to be a highway surveyor in Ossipee in 1810.

Moody's listed in 1810 Ossipee:
Abner, then Jonathan, Sandford, James, Sr., James, Jr., and Clement appear consecutively.

James, Sr. is age 45+, but his wife is age 26 - 44. He also has 3 sons Under the age of 10 and one daughter age 10-15.
James, Jr. is age 26-44 as is his wife and it looks like they have 3 daughters under the age of 10.

Jonathan is age 45 and over, and Sandborn is age 26-44.

Sandborn must be close to age 45 however because a female in his household is age 45 and over. OR his wife died and this was his mother or something.

By 1820 NONE of these are in Ossipee.

Parents of Daniel K. remain uncertain. A 2008 ydna match between a descendant of David Moody (m. Sukie Mudgett), previously PRESUMED son of Edward Gordon Moody, and a descendant of Daniel K. Moody (m. Eliza Sargent), previously PRESUMED son of Jonathan and Allie Moody of Ossipee, NH. Jonathan and Allie named a son Clement, which seems to tie Jonathan to the Clement Moody line genealogically. Though a 35/37 match to each other, the descendant of Daniel and the descendant of David are of a quite different haplogroup (R1b1a) than the other 9 descendants of Clement Moody (I1c). Thus it appears likely that either David and Daniel were brothers or cousins with neither a Clement Moody nor Wm of Newbury descent. A very reasonable candidate for father of Danile K. and perhaps David as well is a James Moody b. abt 1750 as calculated from the available 1810 census who married (probably, 2nd) Elizabeth Quimby in 1792 (Strafford Co., NH Vital Records). If sons of James David and Daniel K. were likely sons of James' first wife. Daniel K. named his second daughter Elizabeth Quimby Moody and his 4th son was James Chase Moody.
