Hi cousin Theresa,
Just got notice that your uncle and my dad have a 67 marker ydna match-up too. At 12 generations it is about 50% and at 20 generations it is 92%. At 28 generations it is 98.29%. Its still a match though and as I've mentioned so many times before our "I1a // I1d" group has numerous mis-matches between the branches within, but we have a lot of documented genealogical data to back up these links and some folks believe that is stronger than the ydna numbers as far as genealogy goes. I prefer to have both myself as I feel its showing us a proven history with the documentation along with the Genetic/blood line proof.
Thank your Uncle so much for us and our little group for taking the test. It means so much to us when we have new matches and it really helps us to map our ancestors.
Now if we could just find documentation as to where in Ireland your James MOODY b.1771 (of Delaware/MD) came from that would be fantastic.
I'll try to work on this too as more sets of eyes can sometimes speed things up.
Take care cousin!
