Wow! Has anyone else been getting the "Security Certif. has expired on THIS site (GenForum)..." notice on this site when they try to login?
I have been trying to login for about a week on here and finally someone said they hit the "Continue On to Site...." message (ignoring the notice), and Poof got onto the site.
Anyway, I finally did that too, and got on to the site.
While cleaning out a box of genealogy I found these Census pages I had copied and for some reason I cannot place this Robert MOODY age 40 (b.c1810) farmer born in NC and wife Elizabeth A. age 35,
Frances A. age 1
"Tempty"?? age 81 (so b.c1769...Robert's mother? an Aunt?)
John MOODY age 8 all born in NC
This is from the 1850 West Dist. of Rockingham Co. (I think now Guilford Co.) NC dated Aug. 7th.
Who is This Robert MOODY? I suspect he may be linked to our Ydna ancestor Thomas MOODY & Jean McCuiston line somehow, but perhaps he's linked to Thomas from his 2nd wife?
The 1860 North Dist. of Guilford Co., NC (Greensboro P.O. district) shows the following:
Robert MOODY age 48 farmer b. Rockingham Co., NC
Nancy Moody age 25 (a daughter? did Elizabeth his wife die by this census?) Nancy born Guilford Co
and Frances MOODY age 12 b. same place.
On the very Next Page of this census was
James McCUISTON age 62 (b.c1798) farmer b. NC
Clevicy?? (hard to read) age 25
Isabella J.(I think named for James mother Isabel) age 23
William J. 19
and James?? (hard to read)or John F. age 15
Thomas MOODY age 8 all said to be born in Guilford Co., NC
To me it appears apparent that these families were probably part of the same intermarried families from our most distant MOODY-McCuiston/McQuiston links but I cannot find this particular Robert MOODY (b.c1810 and wife Elizabeth) in my notes. They might be here on this board but because these boards have been so Slow lately to open and to post on, I've not done any searches here for him.
If this is a duplicate post my apologies.
