Holey Mackrel, you could really be on to something here!
Dea. Clement and Richard could actually have been sons of Samuel and Hannah....why Not??
That Samuel would have a son named Clement is Highly likely!! Dea. Clement could most certainly have been his son.
Also in the 1800 Plymouth Gore at Sandy River, Kennebec Co., ME census was Joseph and Ephraim MOODY sons of Samuel and Hannah.I can't remember what Plymouth Gore became known as after 1800, but is this anywhere near Windsor?
Perhaps all FOUR brothers came to this area together and eventually settled in those areas...Industry and Windsor.
I was also noticing this morning in an NEHGR that the BEAN family had some connection to a TIBBETTS family in the Gardiner, ME area.
One of the Richard Moody's had a 5 yr. old Charles TIBBETTS living with him in one of the census' I posted about earlier. I wonder now if this could be a hint of some sort.
It seems that the more digging thats done, the more questions it creates.
Thanks again for the Great Scribner MOODY info you posted yesterday too.I can't wait to read through all of that, but what struck me right away was the DAVIS (Joseph Moody's wife was Bridget Davis) and BAYLEY/BAILEY links (my 2nd grt. grandfather who claimed to have been born in Gardiner, Kennebec Co., ME along with his older brother James, and next two younger brothers, Joseph and Edward), married a BAILEY.Now I am wondering if the Bayley/Bailey genealogy that I have for her family is correct?!
It was passed down to me years ago and done by someone else.
I have never checked much of the ancient info, only the immediate family surrounding hers, for accuracy.
It might be that there is a Bailey link with those in Kennebec Co., ME and that is how my Daniel ended up married to a Bailey as well.I've got some work to do on that.
