Hi Elizabeth,
Who knows what goes on with these crazy computers sometimes huh?I do think they have a mind of their own at times.
Anyway, unfortunately I did not have any info for you on Sarah Moody's parentage. Since she was from Dover, NH she most likely descends somehow from the Clement line or possibly from the Caleb Moody (William 1 of Newbury) as some of that line also lived in Strafford Co. I believe whereas most of the Clement line seemed to be in Rockingham and Cheshire and other counties.
And to answer your question on whether or not to save everything you find on the MOODY's right now...my answer would have to be an emphatic YES!Until you determine your exact lineage line anyway. And at some point you may wish to share your findings here with others as some do.
That way what you find on Moody's may help someone else to find their missing link as well.
Yes I have been doing this for a very long time and I do this every single day.It is literally my life now since I retired. However my research on the Moody line is fairly new.I waited til the last to do my own family name as I started out working on my Mother's family and Father's mother's families as they seemed to be so much easier.
I have only been researching my Moody line since about 1985 actively, but only solidly (everyday) since about 1997.
But I do save everything I find for now because as you know I still have yet to find the parents of my 5th grt. grandfather James MOODY.
So until I do, or until more DNA results reveal anything new that might be helpful to me on that as well, I will hang on to all of the masses and masses of Moody information I have.
I really have no idea at this point just where my ancestors came from.I only know that my 5th grt. grandparents were either divorced or James deserted his 1st wife and kids for his 2nd wife and kids.My 5th grt. grandmother came back to Buxton, ME where her family was with her 3 children one of which was my 4th grt. grandfather Joseph. That is how my family ended up in Maine and not Nova Scotia.
So I really don't know if I have any links to the Moody's of Lebanon, ME or Milton, NH etc.So far it does not appear so.The one man who did do the DNA test who links to either the Hartford, CT MOODY's (the John Moody line the 1st known Moody person to come to America), or the William 1 line of Newbury, MA, did not match to my family DNA.
The one Irish DNA Moody did not match to me either, so more DNA results will hopefully reveal new info that will be a help to all of us.
Its pretty exciting, I just wish the Results would in Faster. The waiting and waiting seems to take forever...like watching for the pot to boil you know?
But when you have the patience of a gnat the time seems to take longer anyway.lol !
I have links to Micum McIntire too!Can you stand it or will this topple you over into getting into that line for the gene transplant?LOL !!
Good luck to you in your research and if you ever come across a James MOODY in your hunting, please keep me in mind.
Thanks.
