You are correct on all your first questions.I have no reason to doubt Fred Boyle's report of the deed, but have not actually layed eyes on the original text. I will double check his new book and see if his quote uses the word "wife".Nonetheless, it would seem unusual for a very young man to buy property with an aged widowed mother. I have no idea where the 1791 death date for Samuel, sr. came from.Even the History of Industry says he either died by 1804 or left town, prior to the incorp of Industry.Will explore a little further and write Fred if necessary.Barb
