That name Philip is less common and for it to be given to first son, has to be significant.It could be that there was a Philip Moody who did not live long enough to be on the books as a freeman and owner of property. and as you say the list of POWs is quite incomplete for the Unity.If there truly were no other daughters ahead of Elizabeth then that name is significant re: parentage as well.
I think I was able to trace Elizabeth Gordon's ancestry from Alexander, but need to be with my database to be sure. I am 99.9% sure she descends from the Scot POW Gordon.
