Thanks again Louise for sharing this info. As you probably know by now, one of our Ydna MOODY families settled in that very area in PA. Thanks to you, the Leslie - Moody link has been established and if Harry and wife Ann (Moody) LESLIE came to Beaver Co., PA in the early 1800's, my guess would be that Perhaps it was because the LESLIE family was already in Beaver Co., PA that our Ydna MOODY (son of John and Mary Ann (Leslie) MOODY) came there in the later 1800's. He apparently knew of his mother's Leslie family already in the area. Plus I believe there may have been MOODY's in that nearby area as well who were probably related. I still believe the MOODY's of Pittsburgh (William and half brother Robert...sons of a John MOODY of Co. L'derry who owned the bleach green with links to Limavady where we already know we had Moody family living), so this is probably just another tid bit of the dna family tree.
The Surname of WHITE runs rampant among our various ydna MOODY family trees as well, so the marriage of Mary LESLIE to Samuel WHITE is also helpful.
The TWO Ballymoney's as I call them was quite confusing to me too, because of the one in Co. Antrim, just over the line from Co. L'derry. As for the Magilligan MOODY's, I still believe they are also related, although ydna proof will probably be the only way to establish that now unless we can find some record of a link between the families.
I do have links between the families in Nova Scotia, but not a direct MOODY to MOODY family link as yet. However, our exact Ydna Moody family did marry into some of the same families (which do link to each other) that the Israel MOODY and Elizabeth CASKEY/Caskie/McKASKEY (various spellings on this one found in the early records of Nor. Ire.), did and the fact that Israel MOODY moved his family to the Exact place where some of our Ydna MOODY's were already living; makes me think that he too knew he had family there.
It could be just coincidental, but the more I dig into the "connecting" families between these two lines, the more I don't think it was by accident. However, I've seen things like this many times before and it turns out that Neither of the two lines of Moody's are related or at least not closely, so I do my best not to get my hopes up too high.
Thanks again for sharing this info, perhaps one day we will solve which line of Moody's we belong to and if there is a link between us all.
