Thanks again Mary for the Terrific info.
I do believe there IS a link here somewhere. I will research some of these other names you've so kindly shared and see if I can come up with anything further too. I always figure that more than one set of eyes searching for something is helpful.
I will try to contact our Ydna Moody cousin and direct him to your message here and see if any of this sounds familiar to him too.
He has GREAT source info...taken from old court records and deeds etc. so I know whatever he has to share will be legit.
The name of "Lidda" seems to have caused a lot of folks grief over the years of researching this line.
While I have seen this name used before in my research, I still wonder if it might not be a nickname or some version of something else?"Lydia" immediately comes to my mind, but then I would have thought they would have just used "Lydia" on the census records. But as you mentioned...Yes I do know how census records are...they change from term to term and the info rarely seems to stay consistent, especially the ages.
For instance, one time while searching a name, I'll use John James Doe as an example, I found him listed as John Doe, J.J.Doe, James Doe, John Doe, and any other configuration one might be able to think up for this mans full name.It made researching him very difficult, but that's the sort of determination one must have in order to sometimes break through our brick walls of genealogy.
The MOODY to SANDERS link is Definitely between our Ydna line and also the Location in TN to MO and out to Oklahoma when the West was opened up.
I have seen photo's of some of the Moody's from this Wright Co., MO line and they Definitely look like some of our other Ydna Moody cousins families, so that was also a plus.
You mentioned the surname of REID, there again we have found several of them linked to various ones of our Moody family trees, including my own.The surname of SLOAN/Sloane also seems to follow our line around, so if you have any of those in your Moody tree, again this could be another Possible clue.
Anyway, thanks again so much for this and I'll pass this on as I said above and perhaps we'll find out more about this.
If I find out more and if I can, I'll post it here and hopefully if you, you'll do the same as the info on our earlier Moody families really is helpful to so many.
Take care.
