Don't know about New Orleans Moonans. My Moonan ancestors came from Co. Louth (Collon and Ardee), Ireland in the 1850's. Patrick was my ancestor. Andrew was his father's name. There seems to have been a lot of repetition of first names. Have you tried this area of Ireland?
