James Moonan, born 1899, Lambertville NJ

James Joseph Moonan, born in Lambertville, NJ in 1899 and died in 1982 in Trenton, is my grandfather. He was married to Elisabeth ("Dibbie") Behan and they had four children: Elisabeth, James, Robert and Barbara.

James (my father) has lived and worked most of his life in the Trenton area, although he now lives in the Boston, MA area. He and his wife had 5 children (1 adopted) who now live in New England, New Jersey and Florida.

Elisabeth (Betty) lives in between Trenton and Lambertville. She and her husband had 8(7?) children who now are spread out in the northeast part of the US.

Robert died five or so years ago. He and his family lived in Yardley PA. He and his wife had 6(7?) children who now are spread out up and down the east coast.

Barbara lives in Texas. She and her husband had 4(5?) children who live in the western part of the country.

I know very little about my family origins and would love to find out more! My wife and I visited the western coast of Ireland from Killarney to Achill Island a couple of years ago but I did no research on the family geneology while there.

My father seems to think we have roots in County Cork, but after reading the messages on our Moonan Family Genealogy Forum I now wonder if our roots are elsewhere...

Are we all related???

Jim Moonan
