Bob,
Your posting here is very interesting in that I recently made a major breakthrough in one of my family lines by discovering that my direct ancestor's wife was a Moores instead of a More as we have believed for a couple of decades. (No wonder we couldn't find her family!)
Also turns out that she's descended from the
William Moores, b. 1742 in New Jersey.A wonderful man who has researched these folks was kind enough to share his gedcom with me, but it goes no further back than guessing that the father of Wm of NJ was also probably named William doesn't know where he comes from before that.
Do you have any additional information on this line?Will be happy to share what I have, too.
